By selling direct to the customer from our workshop we are able to offer very competitive prices with no large showroom overheads to factor in to the prices of every hand carved fire surround we sell, this in turn enables us to pass big savings on to our customers and keep all our surrounds very competitively priced.

All the fireplaces listed on our website can be made to your specific sizes as every fireplace is individually cut and then hand carved. If you require an alternative design not on our website then please contact us by email with the design and sizes and we will reply direct with a personal quotation.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Simplicity Fireplaces is a family business formed 20 years ago by Chris and Lynn. Chris has over 40 years experience in the stone industry working on private and commerical developments as well as Windsor castle, Gatcombe and for the last 25 years on the HIghgrove Estate. Lewis, our son joined us from leaving college and works alongside Chris handcarving the fireplace surrounds and Lynn oversees all the administration.

Every surround is suitable for gas or electric fires, roaring open fires or the most popular today being for multi fuel and wood stoves.

We do not offer any reconstituted stone or any imported hollow stone this is solid English natural Bath stone and not imitation stone.

All our fireplaces are unique as the stone is locally sourced and as a natural material will contain some shells, fossilising from the sea bed minerals and creatures and calcite veining dating back to some 145 million plus years ago, thus being the beauty of a natural material.

We can also just supply the fire surround without hearths if not required for a reduced costing.

Delivery

If you live within 50 miles of Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, we are able to offer one FREE personal delivery for your fireplace purchase where we will unload our vehicle and carry the sections into your home ground floor or garage/shed etc, however if not local then we are still able to offer delivery but via a pallet lorry to mainland England and Wales currently on a kerbside signed for delivery.

Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer deliveries to Scotland or any Isles.

Due to increasing costs and our busy period we no longer offer national UK deliveries on hearths this is now a personal delivery upto 30 miles from our workshop Monday to Fridays. If you still wish to purchase hearths then you will need to collect them personally if outside our delivery radius Monday to Fridays only 10-2pm.

We are based outside Nailsworth, Gloucestershire GL6 0QD and are able to offer an installation service if within 20 miles - please contact us for more details with regards to these costings etc.

Once given a delivery date every effort will be made to meet this date though we hold no liability if delivery is unable to be made through adverse weather which may effect the cutting of the stone and also the delivery of your new stone surround as I am sure you will appreciate it is totally out of our hands.

For a FREE stone sample please forward your full address and we will post out a small sample for your consideration.

If you wish to visit the workshop then due to health and safety this would need to be PRE-BOOKED prior to arrival on Monday to Fridays only. Please note that we do not have any fireplaces on display but you would see a fireplace currently being worked upon for colouring, texture etc. Otherwise we can forward you a small sample of Bath stone for your consideration.

From the A46, Hay Lane can be found in between The Tipputs Inn and a old G8 petrol station, drive to the back of the Tipputs Inn car park then take the immediate left down the country lane which is sign posted Suppliers of stone and FARM ENTRANCE do NOT follow your sat nav postcode from this point if you have been using our postcode from here otherwise it will take you down towards the right lane which takes you into the village - we can be found 150 yards down on the left hand side being the first unit called Willcox Snell if you drive down towards the end of this unit we can be accessed via the side entrance not the front entrance.
