This beautiful fireplace called The Onyx will be hand carved in a traditional style and would suit traditional or modern homes - it will be ready from w/c 3rd February. We will deliver free of charge upto 50 miles only otherwise you will need to collect from our workshop GL6 0QD a suitable vehicle is required and collections are Monday to Fridays 9-2pm on a pre agreed day/time. Space needed hence discounted price. Lovely Bathstone fireplace. No holding.
Carved from solid blocks of natural Bath stone.
As you can see from the photograph, its perfect for a multi fuel stoves or woodburners to sit nicely within its opening or perhaps a fire basket with a roaring open fire. It is carved from solid blocks of English Bath quarried stone and carved to the design you see in the photograpghs, a stone lined chamber is NOT included.
Every fireplace is unique as the stone is locally sourced and as a natural material will contain some fossiling from the sea bed minerals and creatures and veining dating back to 145 million years ago.
We can offer this design as with all our fireplaces to your own size requirements, but please call or email us first at simplicityfireplaces@gmail.com so we can offer you a personal quotation please do not purchase this fireplace off our website if you require alternative sizes.
The aperture of this special offer standard size Onyx fireplace is 850mm high from the top of the bedded stone hearths to underside of the lintel. The height of the hearths are 50mm plus 10mm recommended mortar bed and the width of the opening is 800mm.
The widest point of this design is 1350mm this being the hearths and mantlepiece/shelf.
The overall height is approxaimtely 1200mm bedded from the floor to the top of the mantlepiece.
The Onyx stone fireplace will be in sections as follows:
1 mantlepiece 1350mm x 160mm x 65mm
1 lintel 1250mm x 225m x 110mm
2 uprights/legs 750mm x 225mm x 110mm
2 base square PLAIN base blocks 245mm x 100mm x 120mm which sit under the uprights.
3 outer hearths pieces - totalling 1350mm x 400mm x 50mm (plus 10mm recommended mortar bed)
A inner back floor hearth is NOT included but can be purchased seperately as all customers opening sizes can be different (please see our hearth listings) please do contact us if your size back inner hearth is not listed as we can then provide you with a costing for your own made measure hearth. This may delay the readiness of this special offer as will need to be cut to order/size.
NO STONE LINE CHAMBER IS INCLUDED IN THESE COSTS although showing in some photos as customers bought as additional extra.
As with all our Bath natural stone surrounds, stone mix mortar will be supplied for all joints, fixing brackets, steel dowel and resin and full installation instructions will be included.
